Vernon · North Okanagan · Since 2016

Renovations drawn right, then built right.

LDR Construction is a Vernon design-build renovation contractor. Alex Matusak and his crew put every kitchen, suite addition and custom build on paper first, then build it to the drawing, on the quote you signed.

Sheet A-201 · Design & planning

Every job starts as a drawing.

LDR does its own design, planning and architectural drawings, so what you approve on paper is what gets built. This is the Delcliffe Rd kitchen, from drawing to handover photo.

Asked before most jobs start

Why hire a general contractor instead of managing trades myself?

A general contractor manages the entire build so you don’t carry the stress. LDR brings a reliable team, suggests ideas you may not have considered, and can save you money on materials.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

We work from a four to six week base estimate. It can extend up to four months if you order custom cabinetry.

Which additions add the most value to a home?

Bathrooms and kitchens have the highest return on investment, so an addition that expands the kitchen or adds a second bathroom is usually the best value play.

Can my deck be restored, or does it need replacing?

Unless a deck has sat untouched for a couple of decades with rot in its foundation, it can likely be restored. Composite decks restore even more often, since they mostly suffer denting, scratching and the occasional stain.

Should I remodel the exterior of my home?

If your roof, siding, windows or doors are looking tired and insulation is an issue, it’s worth it. It also increases the value of your home.

Why remodel a bathroom at all?

A remodel updates the space, saves energy costs and increases your home’s value. If you sell, you typically make the remodeling cost back and then some.
